Come Walk Look Basurama · Self-initiated project as part of the 2005 exhibition organized by Basurama. · Basurama is multidisciplinary festival that concerns trash in all of its forms. It has two focuses: reuse and trash. In the different editions the processes of the production of real and virtual garbage in our current society are studied. All of this debris is used as a source for developing events and for creating objects that are of more interest than those that we can buy new. · For this project, a research on the mistakes, horrors, and forgetfulness of Madrid rubbish from the urban, perceptive, graphic and typographical point of view was carried out which took me to observe particularly the signage of a shoe shop in Madrid. A typeface, Come Walk Look, was created based on the handmade vinyl letters the shop used as its signage and also a poster which referred to all the people chitchatting about the dodgy, but on the other hand gorgeous, lettering. ·
